Toasted Citrus Highball

The notes of sliced green pepper and delicate smoke in Dewar’s Ilegal Smooth are mixed with the zest of pink grapefruit and fresh lemon juice, with a dash of honey to heighten the rich caramel aromas, charged together with soda water in this sublime splicing of Scotch and Mezcal.


  • 2partsDewar's Illegal Smooth
  • 1partPink Grapefruit Juice
  • ¾partFresh lemon juice
  • ⅔partHoney Water
  • 4partsSoda Water
  • Pink Grapefruit Wedge


1. Add all liquid ingredients (except soda) to chilled highball glass
2. Add cubed ice and soda
3. Stir from bottom of glass
4. Garnish with pink grapefruit slice.
