Do I need to book?

Booking in advance is advised, particularly during our peak summer season. Group bookings need to be made directly, rather than through the website – please call +44 (0)1887822010 or email aberfeldydistillery@dewars.com

Is there disabled access to the distillery?

We offer full wheelchair access in the Whisky Lounge, Café and Distillery Shop as well as the Heritage Museum and Warehouse. Access is limited in the distillery due to stairs. What are your opening hours?

April to October

o Monday to Saturday: 10am – 6pm
o Sunday: 12pm – 4pm

November to March

o Monday to Saturday: 10am – 4pm
o Sunday: Closed

We also close for a short period over Christmas. Please check our website closer to the time for the latest updates.

What is Silent Season?

For around one month each winter, the distillery pauses production to carry out essential maintenance. During this period, access to certain areas of the distillery may be limited for health and safety reasons. If you’d like more information about our Silent Season, please get in touch with our team at aberfeldydistillery@dewars.com.

Can I purchase whiskies and gifts from your shop online?

Yes! We offer a great selection of our whiskies, including some distillery exclusives, online, as well as a range of our most popular gift items. Visit shop.dewars.com to browse our selection and join our mailing list to receive updates on new ranges.

Can I purchase gift cards for tours at the distillery?

Yes! We offer gift cards in a range of monetary values, available to purchase through our online shop. If you’re looking for a quick and easy gift, we also have a selection of e-vouchers you can choose from, delivered straight to their inbox.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards are accepted when making a booking online. When visiting us, payments can be made using all major credit and debit card, apple pay and google pay. We do accept cash at Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery, but card payments are preferred.

Can you cater for large groups?

Large groups must be pre-booked in advanced. Please call +44 (0)1887 822010 or email us at aberfeldydistillery@dewars.com to book parties of more than 14 people.

Are there any concession tickets available?

Yes, we do offer concessions on full priced Dewar’s Aberfeldy tour tickets for guests aged 65+, members of the Armed Forces community and veterans (with a valid card), as well as Blue Light emergency services cardholders. Simply select a concession ticket when booking online and remember to bring your valid identification with you on the day of your visit.

I’m driving, can I still do the tour?

Yes! If you’re driving, we offer complimentary sample bottles so you can take your whisky home and enjoy it later. Simply book our Drivers’ Tour ticket at checkout. If you forget to do this when booking, no problem at all – just let us know when you check in and we’ll happily arrange a drivers’ pack for you.

Can I bring my child with me on the tour?

Yes, children are welcome on the Dewar’s Aberfeldy Experience. All children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while in the distillery and visitor centre. Children still require a ticket to attend; however, children under 5 can join free of charge and must still be included in your booking.

Are tours available in different languages?

Our guided tours are delivered in English. However, the smart app used in our heritage exhibition and our printed production tour guide are available in nine additional languages: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Greek, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese, as well as English. If you would like to bring an interpreter with you, please let us know in advance at aberfeldydistillery@dewars.com.

Can I take photographs?

Photography is welcome in the Visitor Centre, Museum, and Warehouse. If you’d like images of the production process, these are available to download during your visit, or we’d be happy to email them to you afterwards.

Are dogs permitted?

We’re happy to welcome well-behaved dogs in our shop and in designated areas of our whisky lounge. To ensure a comfortable experience for all guests, please always keep your dog on a short lead and under the close supervision of a responsible adult.

Assistant dogs are welcome throughout our Visitor Centre and Warehouse, but not within the production area.

It’s a production site – do I need to wear any special clothing?

No specialist clothing is required. However, as this is a traditional working distillery, we do ask that sensible footwear is worn on the distillery tour – this means no open toed shoes or high heels. If needed, we can provide shoes, along with complimentary socks.

Can I hire the Distillery as a venue for my event?

Do you offer private or luxury tours of the distillery?
