What’s the easiest way to visit the distillery from Edinburgh?

The easiest way to reach us without a car is to join a guided day tour from Edinburgh city centre. We recommend Timberbush and Rabbie’s, who both offer comfortable, scenic trips to Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery.

How should I travel to Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery?

By Car:
From both the north and south, join the A9 and exit at the Ballinluig junction. Follow the A827 to Aberfeldy – the distillery sits on the outskirts of town. Turn left into the distillery and continue up the hill; the main car park is on the right and disabled parking is on the left. We promote responsible drinking, and drivers can request a takeaway gift instead of a dram.
By Public Transport:
The number 23 bus from Perth stops outside the distillery on request.
The nearest train station is Pitlochry; from there, pre book a taxi or take the number 24 bus to Ballinluig and transfer to the number 23 to Aberfeldy. Please note Aberfeldy has only one local taxi – Davie +44 (0)1887 820370.
Walking:
We are a short 0.7 mile walk from Aberfeldy town centre. From The Square, follow Dunkeld Street (A827) out of town; the distillery will appear on the right. Cross the footbridge to reach the Visitor Centre.
Cycling:
Highland Perthshire is a beautiful area to explore by bike. From The Square, follow Dunkeld Street (A827) to the distillery entrance on the right. Please dismount upon arrival; bike racks are available near our entrance.
