We are an Approved Programme Provider for WSET and currently offer Level 1 and Level 2 Courses in Spirits.
We are delighted to offer these WSET Spirits Level 1 and 2 courses, delivered in our atmospheric Blending Room by Jonathan Wilson DipWSET, a qualified Spirits Educator with 14 years’ experience in the industry. By studying with us, you can learn about the whole spirits industry in an atmospheric setting, spend time at our distillery and gain a qualification regulated by the UK Government, Ofqual.
The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) is the world’s leading provider of qualifications in wines, spirits and sake. Established in 1969 for the UK wine trade, WSET has since grown to become the global industry leader and international standard in wine and spirit education.
With the global boom in spirits, professionals are looking to gain a deeper understanding of this fascinating world of distilled beverages. WSET spirits qualifications equip students to look beyond the brand to understand the base material and production choices that define a spirit’s category, flavour and aroma profile.
WSET LEVEL 1 AWARD IN SPIRITS 1 DAY COURSE – £170
For individuals new to the subject, this qualification offers a hands-on introduction to the world of spirits. You’ll explore the main styles and types of spirits through sight, smell, and taste to develop an understanding of the key factors affecting flavours and aromas.
Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT
This qualification has a minimum requirement of six hours of study time in a classroom or online. Assessment is by a closed-book exam of 30 multiple-choice questions.

WSET LEVEL 2 AWARD IN SPIRITS 2.5 DAY COURSE – £440
For individuals wishing to develop their expertise in spirits and liqueurs, you’ll discover how production methods and principal raw materials are used to make the key spirit styles. This qualification also explores the key practices and principles of serving spirits and making cocktails.
Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.
DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT
This qualification has a minimum requirement of 26 hours of study time, including 14 hours of classroom or online delivery time.
Assessment is by a closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions.
