About our single cask Aberfeldy \u2018self-fill\u2019<\/h3>\n

Our visitors have the opportunity to purchase a bottle of a unique single cask Aberfeldy, exclusive to the Dewar\u2019s Aberfeldy Distillery. Fill and label your own limited edition bottle of Aberfeldy from one of our \u2018self-fills\u2019, each bottle individually numbered. Every cask we open is different, so we never know how many bottles we are going to get, generally dependent on the cask size and type, as well as the age of the whisky, we can expect anywhere from 150 to 600 bottles. And when the last bottle is gone, its unique taste passes into history.<\/p>\n

Cask No. 3, bottled at 57.0% abv, began maturing in 1999 in an ex-Sherry Butt, giving rich characters of dried fruits and spice. This cask was taken from the warehouse in November 2017 with the last bottle being filled on 25th August 2018. A total of 565 bottles were filled from this cask.<\/p>\n

Whisky tasting notes<\/h3>\n

As two casks of Scotch whisky are never quite the same, we never know exactly what aromas and flavours to expect. The tasting notes for our distillery casks are created by our distillery team. Here are the\u00a0tasting notes for this delicious single cask whisky:<\/p>\n

Fruity, Spicy, Creamy<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

FRUITY<\/strong>
\nDeeply sherried fruit, sultanas, raisins and cherries.<\/p>\n

SPICY<\/strong>
\nCloves and a whiff of cigar smoke with note of polished oak and bitter caramel.<\/p>\n

CREAMY<\/strong>
\nFinishing with a rich, smooth, almost treacle like finish.<\/p>\n
