The Blending Room at Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery - home to our whisky blending tour

The ultimate whisky blending session

Take part in a multi-sensory tutored whisky blending session to explore the flavour profiles and whisky regions of Scotland. Use your new found knowledge to create your own personalised blend of Experimental Batch Scotch whisky using cask strength single malt and grain whisky.

Also included is a guided tour of Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery to discover how we make the beautifully balanced single malt at the heart of Dewar’s Scotch. Visit the warehouse to learn more about the angels’ share and our unreasonable commitment to quality – double aging our whisky for a richer smoother flavour.

Our Blender’s Tour also includes a taste from the cask in the warehouse and a complimentary glass to take home.

You will also be admitted to our immersive heritage exhibition offering a unique insight into founders; John Dewar and his sons Tommy and John Alexander.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the distillery, but the most enjoyable part was mixing our own bottle with the Blender’s Tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful with teaching which scotches would provide certain flavors. The labels that we put on our bottles help create a lasting memory for each of us. It was a great three hours – well worth it!

Our Blender’s Tour is a special experience that takes place only at 10am, every weekday. Booking in advance is essential if you wish to guarantee your place.

To secure your whisky blending session, select the ’10:00am’ timeslot on a weekday. You will see ‘Dewar’s Blender’s Tour’ listed as an option.
